Amelanchier g. ‘Robin Hill’

The Serviceberry ‘Robin Hill’ is a highly valued ornamental shrub or small tree known for its spectacular spring bloom, attractive summer foliage, and beautiful fall colors. In spring, it is covered with a multitude of small, star-shaped flowers, white to slightly pink, that appear before the leaves emerge. The flower buds are pink. These blossoms are followed by small edible berries, first red and then turning blue-black at maturity, which are highly attractive to birds. Its dark green summer foliage transforms into stunning shades of orange and bright red in autumn, adding lasting visual interest to the garden. It has an oval to rounded shape with an elegant habit.

Soil type: Prefers well-drained, rich soil that is slightly acidic to neutral. It tolerates a range of soils, including clay or sandy soils, provided they are well-drained.
