Amelanchier canadensis (Tree)
415.00$ – 525.00$
The Canadian Serviceberry is a small tree native to North America, valued for its beauty in spring, summer, and autumn. In spring, it is covered with a multitude of delicate white flowers that appear before or at the same time as the leaves. These are followed in summer by small edible round fruits, first red then blue-black at maturity, resembling blueberries and much appreciated by both birds and humans. In autumn, its green foliage turns to stunning shades of orange, red, and purple, creating a colorful display.
Soil type: The Canadian Serviceberry is adaptable to a wide range of soils but prefers well-drained, cool, slightly acidic to neutral soils. It tolerates both clay and sandy soils.
